How can i make the redness of my zits go away?

Around my time of the month, i always break out-bad- and its just on my forehead that i breakout. This time i got 5 huge zits right in the middle of my forehead, my bangs dont cover them or anything. That was a few days ago, now the zits are pretty much gone. There's one thats still a little tiny bump, but the rest are gone. But they're all still red! how can i make the redness go away? Its really embarrassing having them..i even stayed home one day because I didnt want people to see them..I have proactive and it works most the time, i have tried Retin-A, benezoyl poroxide medications, my sister had worse acne than me, but her doctor gave her 3 medications that made her skin so clear! So she lets me use some of the stuff her doctor gave her and that is what made the zits go away, but left them red. i have tried SO many things..nothing works to make them not red! help!?
