How to get rid of flaky skin on my face?

I sometimes get dry flaky skin on my lower cheek area or chin/around my mouth... And when I get zits and they scab off it leaves like this weird ring of flaky skin and keeps getting bigger... I hardly ever use moisturizer as it leaves my skin oily and gives me zits (trust me, I have tried every kind out there)... Is there some kind of home remedy I can use to get rid of the dry skin it looks disgusting..
