What's a difference between an innocent joke vs. a rude joke/insult?

it sounds like you are a bit stuck up, no offense. people are going to be stupid sometimes and even rude, but you can't stop them, it's human nature. that said, it's not as though you were wrong to leave, if you felt upset then that's your right too and don't let anyone make you feel guilty about it.
